Lyla holds a master’s degree in Spiritual Counseling and East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). She is currently researching the topic of healing trauma. With a background as a teacher, artist, Psychedelic Educator, and Expressive Arts Facilitator, Lyla’s work is grounded in her personal practice of earth-honoring ritual, prayer, and ancestral healing with a Jungian-inspired approach; uncovering the subtleties of the unconscious, also known as depth psychology. Lyla also serves as the Registrar for the Ministry Training Program (MTP) with the Center for Sacred Studies (CSS), founded by a world-renowned elder, grandmother, and vision keeper, Jyoti Ma (Jeneane Prevatt Ph.D.), who helped convene the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.

Lyla guides her clients to uncover, and navigate their unconscious patterns with methods of self-examination utilizing art, writing, sound, and movement. The multisensory approach activates different areas of the brain, allowing one to easily dialog with their unconscious. She provides her clients with practical techniques and templates for repatterning, which they can apply in everyday life.

“After my own healing crisis, I moved through a dark night of the soul, where I discovered trauma was at the heart of suffering. I pledged to dedicate my life to helping people heal. I believe education is a significant factor in emotional wholeness, and I utilize it as a tool to guide my clients into becoming their own self-reflective witness.

So many people are cooped up inside or stuck at their desks doing work that depletes their life force. I guide people on adventures into their inner sanctum where they can relax, get in touch with their soul to create new directions for their lives.”
